I'm thinking this is definitely a win for Black Flash after last night's episode. Last night's episode of The Flash, titled 'The Once and Future Flash', ended with a customary tease of who the season's big bad really is. Barry is keeping up with him just fine. Not because he wants to see him suffer, but would be killing himself. First of all, he can phase, which is a tested method that's effective. There at worst equals, if anything Barry got the better of there exchange. (Imma go with number two.) All though with that said if you aren't basing black flashes dominance on there fight than what are you basing it on? Than Barry tried to get on the elevator and black flash attacked Barry while his back was turned. Hunter Zolomon was born to James and Ashley Zolomon in Central City. Savitar is a master if the speed force, but he had never used an ability August Heart has used early in his speedster days, this: I know this may look like a speed mirage but it isn’t. The inside of the suit, such as the rib cage area and the eyes, seem to glow a light blue color if Savitar is inside it, although a red color was emitted when Barry took the suit. Unless the two are somehow working together? Because he's much faster than Eobard is/was. I don't agree with this for reasons mentioned. He is the embodiment of Death. Black Flash's dealings with Thawne seem to be the best evidence, since he was actively and decisively hunting him. Barry did fight with Savitar on level terms maybe because of rage but you're right we don't know the full extent of Savitar's power either. Outside of his armor, Savitar is portrayed by Grant Gustin. savitar is nowhere near as powerful as he was when he was trapped in the speed force. Plus IIRC Zoom did the same thing in the finale fight but Barry was able to beat him twice in the finale. If Black flash wanted him dead why did he slowly drain him like a time wraith? He's just faster, Savitar only seemed that much faster because he was moving in and out of the speed force (time). He made it clear he'd have no shot in an altercation, and this was proven in the most recent episode when Black Flash instantly stomped Thawne and killed him. As for Jessie stabbing him, that was a cheap-shot taken while Savitar was engaged in some "Bond Villain Stupidity" as I call it, and to me most likely a low showing. @shroudofsorrow: Let's see how they show Savitar and Black Flash in the future. I wasn't actually talking about how Barry BFR'd black flash. (Jesse injured Savitar, which is also something). Sure he was holding back but my I think you can understand my point. Black flash took Barry by surprise in both the gifs you posted. Savitar has more unique skills in being able to give people meta-human powers, generate armor from the Speed-Force, having some form of TP, and lightning redirection. This remaining remnant, shunned by Team Flash due to not being their Barry despite knowing everything that he does and feeling everything that he once felt, was left broken and alone until he decided to take revenge on \"the real Barry\" by any means necessary. Black Flash only took advantage when Barry tried to go in the elevator and turned his back. There were an entire army of Eobard's, and they didn't even pose a slight threat to that dude. Barry was only around mach 2-3 when he time traveled to the past and based on his dialogue I don't think its a stretch to say season 2 Barry was holding back since he said he was sorry he had to do it. In The FlashTV show on the CW, Savitar is voice acted by Tobin Bell and portrayed by Andre Tricoteux when he's wearing his armor. @xtreme1: Black flash doesn't have any special powers related to time remanants. bump after the most recent episode of LoT. The CW Arrowverse Series In the CW series, also known as the Arrowverse, Eobard Thawne is actually scared of the Black Flash. Black Flash beat flash and had RF shaking in his boots. This means he can kill basically anything with a physical form. But considering Zolomon is BF we need to change it up to; Zoom>Black Flash>Barry Allen>Reverse Flash>Wally West>Jessie Quick> Savitar>Jay Garrick, (Zoom being higher because he's alive and BF is dead). Savitar talked that shit and challenged Barry to kill if he needs to. Can't really judge him from one fight. Savitar's blades are also a Luttinger System, meaning they should have Infinite Cutting Force. @ujjawal154: I'd answer your question, but it's a bit too off-topic for this thread and I'd rather not derail it. Savitar was matched by Jessie who is clearly inferior to Barry and by extension Black Flash. This would likely be difficult, but possible. Noticing Hunter, Ashley pleaded for him to run but James took him in front of his mother, giving Hunter his silver helmet, and forced him to watch as he murdered Ashley. This can be implied by the speed force saying that for flash to free wally he had to free himself, this seems to suggest this was a bit of a test.Even if it wasn't the only way he got rid of flash was due to a battle field removing BF with his tether. It just seemed like Thawne was unable to fight back. Summary While posing as the "God of Speed", Savitar is revealed to be a Time Remnant of a future version of Barry Allen that came into being as a result of a bootstrap paradox that was a side-effect of the Flash restoring the original timeline. Personally I think the best option is one that wouldn’t necessarily have to involve Teddy Sears’ return. Black Flash was stated by Thawne to be literally impossible to kill outside of Reality Warping, and he seems to be more knowledgable about Speed-Force matters than anyone in the series so far. Barry Allen also known as Savitar is The 1st Metahuman Speedster known in The Multiverse to have ever connect to The Speed Force known to many other Speedsters as The God of Speed or The God of Motion. Black flash could have easily done this instead of slowly draining away flash's life if he truly wanted him dead. Spoilers for the latest LoT episode if anyone hasn't seen it. 6 When he erased Thawne it was so powerful it even erased the other Time Remnants, who normally can survive even upon the generator's death. Savitar beat and stabbed Flash, but once again didn't want to / couldn't kill Barry until the future played out. As he reached top speed, his plane was struck by what appeared to be lightning, and he went down in hostile territory. This should cement that Black Flash >>>>> Reverse-Flash. The battle that ensues was pretty damn fire. I can't give black flash credit for attacking Barry when Barry wasn't facing his direction and was distracted. We've seen it work very quickly, so I'm assuming against Barry it was just the Speed-Force giving him time to be tested. Well I think the shock factor played a role. I think that alone would be a phenomenal nod to the Season 2 finale. Black Flash wins. The CW isn't always the best with there application of ideas. Savitar's existence was finally explained during Tuesday's episode of The Flash — but it might be a bit confusing, so we've tried to break it down as best as possible. In the comics Savitar was a Cold War pilot from a … If its revealed later black flash wasn't going all out and is actually a lot more powerful than Barry than fine but until than I rank Barry above black flash. In fact, we saw him escape a fight last season by punching a hole in the space time continuum to open a breach. With Grant Gustin, Candice Patton, Danielle Panabaker, Carlos Valdes. My point is the speed force was willing to risk Barry's life to get its point across. Savitar's armor is nearly invincible, but Black Flash should have ways to harm Savitar through Phasing/Death Touch, and to a much greater degree the ability to literally erase a target from Reality. While training with Barry, Wally starts to have visions of Savitar, which he hides from the team. See that scene again savitar appeared only twice when the tracker blinked Everytime on the screen. Eh...Jessie got kinda lucky against Savitar/he didn't immediately kill her. If black flash wanted him dead he would have killed him instead of doing a move that a time wraith already tried on flash. He knew BF was coming when he had his back turned so that doesn't matter. Reverse-Flash should be faster than current Barry, but he's progressed much faster than he originally would have (due to Thawne and Zoom pushing him), and could already be as fast as the Future Flash Thawne dealt with. Savitar doesn't just want to kill Barry, he wants revenge and claims he has something "far worse than death" planned. The March 5 update includes a new event and related items. The rest of the fight is circumstantial (Black flashes cheap shots, and Barry BFR'ing him). I don't see a way Savitar could kill Black Flash he seemed like he couldn't die and only be locked up for short periods of time. I wouldn't say Jessie's actually better than Savitar. Let us know in the comments below! Cancel. When he was 11 years old, Hunter came downstairs to find his father abusing his mother, demanding respect following service in the War of the Americas. Future Eobard really shouldn't be that slower than Savitar, given they're both the arch-enemies of Future-Flash's from different timelines. That’s one way the writers could incorporate Black Flash into Season 3, have Black Flash take down Savitar. © 2021 GAMESPOT, A RED VENTURES COMPANY. I am not going to argue but I will due it being my thread but I will try to explain why this is a good feat for BF. Yea he knew black flash was coming but his primary goal was to make it to the elevator to save Wally. I guess you can make the argument black flash is more versatile due to his death touch (presumingly they can both do lightning since Hunter taught Barry that trick and was able to catch it and throw it back, assuming black flash has all of Zooms skill) but I would say Barry is faster and more skilled and I think it was shown in there fight IMO. I don't understand why people interpret this as a good showing for black flash. The only reason Black Flash won is by blitzing Flash from behind and pinning him to the ground (then sucking his life-force out). This is a mismatch. Makes sense. Videos you watch may be added to the TV's watch history and influence TV recommendations. Shortly after, James was sent to prison, ca… The holding back stuff is more believable, but as I said I'm not sold on it at all. They traded blows briefly and Barry clearly got the better of black flash. While Savitar considers himself a speed god, Black Flash is more of an entity of the speed force, a grim reaper who returns speedsters to the source of their power. 1. Not true, flash literally only pushed black flash away and had to flee. This is basically what Reverse flash did to black flash in Legends of Tomorrow.Black flash pretty much blitzed him at the start and held him down at the end. In no way can you argue black flash was dominant. I'm gonna put LoT Thawne as equal to current Barry, though this is somewhat speculative. Savitar is a supervillain appearing in the Flash comics. Savitar should just be Savitar and following through with Black Flash would be an awesome end to Season 3. It stands to reason the Speed-Force would want their law-enforcer to be the fastest dude around, even if Savitar has found a way to manipulate the Speed-Force to a greater degree than any other speedster so far. So Barry and black flash both landed cheap shots on each other but that isn't what I was focusing on. I don't think black flash holding back would be beneficial for a test like that. He was easily pinning flash down with flash helpless to do anything. While there’s a Future Flash theory floating around that’s certainly a compelling one, I think it would be a missed opportunity not to explore the Black Flash arc that’s already halfway set up in the series. And he didn't really match him, he was still trying to run away. Oh come on man. My argument focuses on there exchange and trade of punches, and I am basically scoring it like a boxing match in a way in which case I think Barry got the better of him in there brief exchange. Savitar has an insane level of speed, but likely not enough to be faster than someone directly fed speed by the Speed-Force.
